Use our great Berninas in any machine-sewing class – no need to drag your machine in and drag it back home again! We have 6 – count ‘em, 6 – Berninas waiting for you in our exciting studio!

We have new multi-session classes  - our version of "Extreme Makeover" for your dorm, sewing room, and den - as well as "One & Done" classes that give you a finished project to show off - and no homework! We're also starting a Block of the Month for beginners that will cover everything you need to know to be successful with your piecing and will even cover some finishing techniques! This summer is jam-packed at Q!

Thanks to all who participated in our Lady Liberty Challenge! We ran out of fabric before you ran out of enthusiasm -- so next time, we promise to have two bolts available! Just a reminder - entries are due by Wednesday, September 1 and will be judged through Saturday, September 11. Viewer’s Choice winner will receive a gorgeous gift basket worth $250! 

One & Done: These classes are intended for the stitcher who wants to finish a project in class, or for anyone who needs a simple/fast/fun gift . . . or anyone who just wants to spend a little time playing with fabric! They’re all individually priced and no One & Done builds on any other, so you can join as often as you like. And many are offered more than once for your scheduling convenience!

LIBERATED ROW OF THE MONTH: SESSION 1 WILL CONTINUE TO MEET ON THE 4TH SATURDAY OF THE MONTH, BUT WE'RE ADDING A SECOND SESSION! IF YOU'VE THOUGHT ABOUT JOINING THIS TERRIFIC CLASS, NOW'S  YOUR CHANCE - SESSION 2 WILL MEET THE SECOND SATURDAYS FROM 10-1. EACH SESSION $25.

Thursday, Aug 19 – The Art of the Perfect: Borders and Bindings that Win, 6-9, $15. Join us for an informative class that will demonstrate and add hands-on experience with those all-important outsides of your quilts! We often worry more about the centers, but it’s the borders and the bindings that judges examine – so learn how to put them on the right way and bring home those blue ribbons!

Friday, Aug 20 – Beginners’ Block of the Month, 6-9, $30. This monthly class will tackle everything the beginning machine quilter needs to know – from proper cutting and seaming to block construction, layout, borders, and bindings. We’ll cover simple four-patches first, then use our increasing skills to move through half-square triangle piecing, foundation piecing, even some machine appliqué! You may join at any time and pay as you go. No fabric is included in the cost of this class but kits will be available. PLEASE NOTE - THIS CLASS IS POSTPONED AND WILL START ON SEPTEMBER 17TH! 

Saturday, Aug 21 – One & Done: Grocery Tote, 10-1, $30 plus pattern. Make a darling foldable tote that can slip into your purse, yet stands out from the blah, boring reusable bags we all leave in the trunk! Shown at left unfolded, at right, folded & ready to go!

Saturday, Aug 21 – Serged Portfolio (pictured below), 2-5, $30 plus supplies. Use a serger to make this simple yet charming portfolio in your favorite colors and fabrics. Once you’ve made one, you’ll want another, and another . . . .

Tuesday, Aug 24 – One & Done: Grocery Tote, 6-9, $30 plus pattern

Thursday, Aug 26 – Wool Applique by hand, 6-9 $30 A Bird in Hand book required. Quick, satisfying, and beautiful – what more could you want from a project? Join Cora as she walks you through the process of creating an heirloom piece.

Friday, Aug 27 – Simple Prairie Points (pictured above), 6-9, $15 Quick Points ruler required. Jazz up the edges of your quilts, or add pizzazz to your blocks with this new ruler that makes the whole thing a snap!

Saturday, Aug 28 – One & Done: Chicken Potholder, 3-4:30, $15. We love this darling potholder, and you will too – and you’ll learn the tricks before our Cotton Pickin’ Chicken Challenge begins next week!

Tuesday, Aug 31 – One & Done: Chicken Potholder, 6-7:30, $15

Aug 31 - CHICKEN POTHOLDER CHALLENGE BEGINS! Drop in for a pattern and a quarter-yard of Insulbrite (we’re packaging them into kits for only $10) and go nuts! Make as many as you want – enter as often as you like – the viewers’ favorite will take home a pail of scratchin’s worth $150! Chickens are due at the roost by September 30^th – judging will end on October 23^rd, and we’ll announce the winner at our grand 1-year anniversary celebration on October 30^th!

Wednesday, Sep 1 – Piecing with the Stars, session 1, 6-9, $60 Cora’s taking you to the skies with this class that will teach you the ins and outs of piecing stars by hand. Learn to get those exquisite sharp points that will make you the envy of your guild!

Tuesday, Sep 7 – One & Done: Baby Hat with Texture Magic, 5-9, $20 plus ½ yd Texture Magic required. If you haven’t seen this adorable baby hat in the shop, you can’t imagine how cute it is! Pair two fabulous fabrics – texturize one with Texture Magic – and voila! You’ve got an instant heirloom!

Wednesday, Sep 8 – Fancy Feet: Teflon foot and zipper foot Cosmetic Bag, 6-9, FREE with paid kit fee of $5. Learn to use Bernina’s specialty feet as you make a quick, cute cosmetic or “stuff” bag. We’ll have more of these “meet your feet” classes each month to help you get the most out of your Bernina!
